Hi Alison: I can't believe you folks are complaining about how hot it is.
You should be over here. We've have several weeks where the daily high temperature has been between 95 and 100 F.
And that doesn't even take into account the humidity.
Hi - the irony in that Private Eye spoof about scientists is amusing... Though to be honest I could do without the heat on the Tube and buses which is way too much and hits 54 degrees C most days, whatever that is in F! I think its nice we've had such a long hot summer but then im lucky - i get air-conditioning where i work!
Not sure i could handle 100 F daily...
