Cant we just remember her like this?

Italian magazine editor defending his decision to publish images of Diana dying.

"In my opinion it is not a picture which is offensive to the memory of Princess Diana. I found it rather tender and touching.

"She is not dead in the picture but looks as if she is a sleeping princess."

Yeah Im sure her kids will be thrilled.

What an arsehole.

I'd rather not remember her at all, if it's all the same to you.

She was a manipulative self-publicist who, had she lived, would have become a laughing-stock. Most jornalists were saying much the same thing, until she died and then, suddenly, they had all loved her all along.

Bah! Humbug!

What the same journalists whose papers were making quite a lot of money from her pictures. She would still have been around if it wasn't for Charles (rentawomb) and his antics. She had a life to live and once or twice I remember she served quite a few charities. Get off her back...the papers are still making money from her. 'Tender and touching' my arse just see the money roll in. As you so rightly said Alison what an arsehole.

I was never a great Diana fan I admit partially for what Steve cites.

I thought her work for charity did raise those charities profiles and that her real love of involvement in them was plain for all to see.

Its just at times i wished she would shut up.

I dont believe she would have become a laughing stock though. And often I wonder if the venom levelled at Charles for his part was 100% deserved - i would have thought his kids would hate him if that was the case. But they clearly love their dad.

Agree about the journos Enid. This sicko money grabbing editor is full of shit like most of them. I dont wish to see any of these images - and i hope her kids dont get to. What happened to respect?

What an arsehole about sums it up. Alongside what happened to respect, what happened to common human decency? I'm sorry to sound like irate of Tunbridge Wells. But honestly. "A manipulative self-publicist"? Who wouldn't have been in her position? Boy would you want your story told.

Dont worry about sounding like irate from Tunbridge Wells! I guess for me it was who she chose to tell her story the odious creepy Bashir...i really think her kids would be fairly cold towards their dad if it was all so one sided. They dont seem to be - its so the opposite.
