Girl with a one track mind

At the moment this blog has been concentrating mostly on one subject. I didnt set out with that in mind - but learning about Nazanin's case and thinking that the outcome would be different to what it was, is pretty inspiring. I dont feel there is enough of a spotlight on some issues.

And of course the blogosphere is certainly inspiring for its macho knock-about style for which i mostly love it. The good the bad are fascinating, the ugly is motivating!

In getting linked here as the mystery blogger (thank you James!) i've discovered some new reads to possibly give some yin to the yan, or yan to the yin, never sure which way round that is.

To add to this list id also recommend the no nonsense Grizzly Mama, and the thought provoking Tu S Tin.

wow! thank you!
I kind of felt guilty reading that after making a new post. I have had a one track mind latly too, thought I would take a break from saving the world and solving problems ... hopefully inspire some silly thoughts, or at least a smile.
I do feel pressured now to be intellgant ... learning to spell would be a start ...
but thank you again, I love reading your posts too.

I do wish you would post and join the comments here a little more often. Sometimes it's way to loud on a tangled web to even hear yourself think..... toooo many cooks.
...and thats not a bash on the site, it's just a converstion between a few can be alot more inspirational and an encouraging breather from all the debating. Even soldiers take a break to regroup and collect themselves from time to time.

What a childish puerile extreme headline that was at A Tangled Web. Partly why i wont comment. I do read it though.

You can have an opinion about specific emotive issues, specially abortion, the church etc, doesnt make you a bleeding heart or a femo-nazi - what a crock of shite (re whoever he/she was?). This sort of stuff gets discussed by women all the time across the political spectrum and outside of it. There are no fixed opinions left or right on that.

Girl with a one track mind? Why not.

Agreed. You should comment here more often.

Anonymous - who are you btw, did you come over from Nourishing Obscurity? I know blogger isnt accepting comments all that weel at the mo but it would be nice to get a name. Dunno why really but is is!

Abortion isnt a left right issue. I know what you mean. And no of course it isnt 'feminazi'. Thatcher was against it and neither was Enoch Powell! He put it best when he said its not a matter for the State - its a matter for the individual as are the consequences. Besides i think that was just another in a series of labels in another series of tit for tats started by the post author. I think Richard made that point well in the end :) Humour always diffuses.

Youll always have abortion. 40 years ago you didnt have RU48 and the internet so theres a nice little unsupervised black market available for kids and all. Wonderful. And those who cant get access will do the inevitable. The straw man argument aint no straw man. If he is he is a very old hardy one with lots of gross stories.

Tu and Anon - i should comment here thanks.
